I'll be performing a new piece of contemporary music on June 18 2010 in Wilmington Delaware:
The piece is a trio for violin, bass, and guitar.
It's based on some great blues tunes, but treated in a somewhat Bartok-like modern style. It's about 10 minutes long.
The violinist is Barbara Govatos, first violin of the Philadelphia Orchestra and director of the Delaware Chamber Music Festival.
The bass is Douglas Mapp, who performs with several orchestras including the Philadelphians, and is also a leading jazz player.
